Sogenji after the Taifun

Thank you all for sending in so many concerned email and good wishes for the floods in Japan. Sogenji is fine, a lot of water went under the Denneshitsu, the sanzen room and the lake overflowed, some of the carps ending in the river behind, as the neighbors informed the Roshi. Japan having now the natural disaster information system active, so all night long messages were sent to mobile phones, informing everyone about the floods and asking people to check whether they need to search for higher grounds. The water masses are huge coming from the mountain behind Sogenji, yet because Sogenji is situated slightly higher, the water is draining in the direction of the inland sea.
