Tahoma-san Sogen-ji Zen Monastery
On September 14th, 2024 Tahoma-san Sogen-ji Zen Monastery held a Ceremony for the Transmission of Daichi Zenni and Sozui Zenni; and a Shinkanshiki Ceremony in which Daichi and Sozui will take on new roles at Tahoma.
These events were held in-person at the Monastery but also broadcast via Zoom. They were recorded and while there were some technical and production issues, they have been edited and uploaded to YouTube. They can be viewed here:
This Saturday, September 14th will be a Celebration of the Transmission of Daichi Zenni and Sozui Zenni; and a Shinkanshiki Ceremony in which Daichi and Sozui will take on new roles at Tahoma
The Ceremony will be held on September 14th and begin at 11 am–please arrive by 10:30am. The ceremony will be taking place in the Zendo and most of the sangha will be outside of the Zendo, under tents and with chairs available. Please be mindful of the weather and dress accordingly. Please note that parking will be limited–carpooling is encouraged.
Boxed Lunches and a bowl of tea will be offered after the ceremony.. Everyone is welcome to enjoy Tahoma for the afternoon.

For those unable to attend in person the Ceremony will be filmed, and a live video feed is available via Zoom, You may access from your phones/devices.
